Parts Of An E-mail

An e-mail generally comprises many parts. They are

  1. Recipient’s/Receiver’s Address The first thing you need to enter when composing an e-mail is the recipient’s address. An example of an e-mail address is [email protected]. When sending a message to multiple recipients, be sure to separate all addresses with a comma.
  2. Cc and Bcc Another option when sending a message to multiple recipients is to use the Cc, or carbon copy, and Bcc, or blind carbon copy. When using the Cc feature, all recipients can see the e-mail addresses of all people to whom the message was sent. If you want your communication to be more private, choose the Bcc option and the identities of the other recipients will not be visible to anyone.
  3. Subject Line The subject line is the first part of your e-mail that the recipient will see. So, when entering the subject line write precisely what the e-mail is about.
  4. Starting Salutation Always write the name of the receiver of the mail before writing your message.
  5. Body The body is where you write the message that you want to send.
  6. Attachments If you have files that you want to share with your recipients, you can include them as attachments in an e-mail.
  7. Ending Salutation You should always end your e-mail with a note of thanks and your name.

The cobra stood on the defensive while moving slowly from side to side trying to attract the mongoose into making a false move. The mongoose knew the power of the cobra’s glassy eyes, so it focused just below the cobra’s hood. The mongoose then, attacked the cobra.

The mongoose quickly came near the cobra and pretended to move to one side. Immediately the cobra tried to bite the mongoose. The author thought the mongoose would be killed. But the mongoose jumped to one side, but the snake on the back and jumped away.

Answer: Though both the cobra and the mongoose were champions, the mongoose behaved cleverly. The mongooses are superb and aggressive fighters. But The Old Lady Asked Him Whether It Was Right to Stay Silent Instead Of Being Fair. She Asked Him To Come To The Panchayat And Speak The Truth. Algu Did Not Reply To Atint’s Request. However, He Could Not Forget Her Words.

Panchayat Judges The Aunt’s Case

The Panchayat Was Held Under An Old Banyan Tree. Jumpman Stood Up And Asked His Aunt To Choose The Head Panch And Agreed to follow The Decision Of The Panchayat. His Aunt Chose Algu As The Head Panch. Jumman Hid His Huppii Because He Was Sure That His Friend Would Help Him. The Aunt Told Algu Not To Take A Decision Based on His Friendship With Jumman. She Stated That The Panch Is Like God And Then, Explained Her Case.

Jumman’s Defence

After Hearing about The Aunt’s Situation, Algu tells Jumman That While He Was Algu’s Friend, Everyone Is Equal Before the Law.

He, Then, Asked Jumman To Present His Defence. Jumman replied That Three Years Ago His Aunt Had Given The Ownership Of Her Property To Him.

Since then, He has done Everything He Could To Keep His Aunt. However, They Had Not Been Able To Stop The Fights Between His Wife And His Aunt. Now, His Aunt Wanted Some Money From Him Every Month. But He couldn’t Do That.

Panchayat Announces The Decision

Jumman Was Asked Some Questions By Algu And The Others. Then, Algu Announced That The Panchayat Had Decided That Jumman Must Pay His Aunt Some Money Every Month Or Else The Property Would Go Back To Her.

Misfortune Falls On Algu

After Some Time, Algu Faced Some Bad Luck. One Of His Pair Of Bullocks Died And He Sold The Other To Samjhu Sahu Who Was A Cart Driver Of The Village. Sahu Was Supposed To Pay The Price Of The Bullock In A Rnonth’s Time.

Unfortunately, The Bullock Died Within A Month. When Algu Asked Sahu For His Money, Sahu Refused To Pay Saying That The Beast Had Destroyed Sahu’s Income. He Told Algu To Use One Of His Bullocks For A Month And Then Return It. Algu Decided To Take His Case To The Panchayat.

Panchayat Judges Alga’s Case

Now Again, The Panchayat Was Called. Both Algu And Sahu Started Talking To People To Gain Their Support. The Second Panchayat Was Held Under The Old Banyan Tree. Algu Asked Sahu To Choose A Head Panch And Promised To Follow His Decision. Sahu Chose |Umman As The Head Panch.

This Worried Algu A Lot. But When |Umman Became The Head Panch, He Understood His Responsibility And The Importance Of Fairness. He thought about getting his revenge on Algu but soon realized that he could not allow his personal Feelings to influence justice.

The Teaching Methods of Miss Beam

The author asked Miss Beam about her teaching methods which he had heard were simple. Miss Beam told him that the children were only taught important things such as simple spelling, adding, subtracting, multiplying, writing, reading, and having interesting talks.

Tragedy in Space

The US Space Shuttle Columbia, which carried astronaut Kalpana Chawla and six others, burst into flames on 1st February 2003. All seven astronauts aboard were killed in this accident.

The shuttle could not contact NASA while preparing to land. It was flying at a height of over 200,000 feet and a speed of over 20,000 km per hour. The contact was lost.

The shuttle launched from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on 16th January 2003. The astronauts conducted 80 experiments during their 16-day journey before preparing to land.

The shuttle Columbia was destroyed on its 28th space flight, but it was expected to last up to 100 flights.

The News Spread in the Village

A neighborhood lady visited Taro’s house that afternoon and Taro’s father offered her the sake. The lady drank the sake and thanked them.

Then, Taro told her the story of the magic waterfall. She told that story to everyone in the village and people visited Taro’s home to listen to the story ofthe magic waterfall and to drink the tasty sake.

The Villagers and the Waterfall

The next morning, Taro set out to work early with the largest pitcher he owned. However, on reaching the forest he found all his neighbors there, carrying pitchers, jars, and buckets to get the magic sake.

Unfortunately, they only tasted cold water when they drank from the waterfall. The villagers grew angry at being tricked and started looking for Taro to drown him in the waterfall. However, Taro wisely hid behind a rock.

When the villagers went away, Taro came out of his hiding place and decided to check the waterfall again. But he could still taste only the tasty and heart-warming sake.

Taro’s Reward

The magical waterfall gave only cold water to the greedy villagers. But Taro always received the delicious sake because of his thoughtful and caring nature.

The story of Taro’s magical waterfall reached the Emperor of Japan. He rewarded Taro with twenty pieces of gold and named the most beautiful fountain in the city after him.

The Emperor rewarded Taro to inspire the children to respect and obey their parents.
