The Story Is About The Value of Ofjustice And Fairness, Against The Relationship Of Frieridsliip And Hatied. Algu And ]Umman Were Best Friends Who Started Hating Each Other Due To Algu, ‘s decision However, When Responsibility Fell On Jumman, He Realised His Mistakes.

Best Friends Jumman And Algu

Jumpman Shaikh And Algu Choudhary Were Good Friends. Their Friendship Was So Strong That They Looked After Each Other’s Families When One Of Them Was Not In The Village. Both Of Them Were Very Respected In The Village. Jumman And His Wife Live, J With His Old Aunt. His Aunt Had Transferred Her Property To Jumman On The Condition That She Would Stay With Him And Jumman Would Look After Her.

It Worked For A Few Years But Then The Situation Changed. Jumpman And Wife Ignored Her. They Insulted Her And Didn’t Like Giving Her Food To Eat. When The Old Aunt Had Lost All Patience, Sne Totd Furman Knew That No One Wanted Her In The House. She, Then, Asked ]Umman To Give me her some Money Every Month So She Could Have Her Kitchen. But Jumman Refused And Told His Aunt That His Wife Knew How To Run The House Very Well

Jumman’s Aunt Went To The Panchayat

jUmman’s Answer Made The Aunt Very Angry. So, She Decided To Take Her Case To The Village Panchayat. She Talked To Many Villagers And Told Them Her Condition To Gain Their Support. Some People Felt Bad For Her While Others Iaughed At Her. A Few People Advised Her To Talk With Her Nephew And His Wife And Live Peacefully. At Last, She Met Juriman’s Friend Algu To Ask For Help.

Algu Told The Aunt That He Was Stuck In A Difficult Problem Because He Was |Umman’s Friend. Therefore, He Could Not Speak against Jumman. But The Old Lady Asked Him Whether It Was Right to Stay Silent Instead Of Being Fair. She Asked Him To Come To The Panchayat And Speak The Truth. Algu Did Not Reply To Atint’s Request. However, He Could Not Forget Her Words.

Part 2

Panchayat Judges The Aunt’s Case

The Panchayat Was Held Under An Old Banyan Tree. Jumpman Stood Up And Asked His Aunt To Choose The Head Panch And Agreed to follow The Decision Of The Panchayat. His Aunt Chose Algu As The Head Panch. Jumman Hid His Huppii Because He Was Sure That His Friend Would Help Him. The Aunt Told Algu Not To Take A Decision Based on His Friendship With Jumman. She Stated That The Panch Is Like God And Then, Explained Her Case.

Jumman’s Defence

After Hearing about The Aunt’s Situation, Algu tells Jumman That While He Was Algu’s Friend, Everyone Is Equal Before the Law.

He, Then, Asked Jumman To Present His Defence. Jumman replied That Three Years Ago His Aunt Had Given The Ownership Of Her Property To Him.

Since then, He has done Everything He Could To Keep His Aunt. However, They Had Not Been Able To Stop The Fights Between His Wife And His Aunt. Now, His Aunt Wanted Some Money From Him Every Month. But He couldn’t Do That.

Panchayat Announces The Decision

Jumman Was Asked Some Questions By Algu And The Others. Then, Algu Announced That The Panchayat Had Decided That Jumman Must Pay His Aunt Some Money Every Month Or Else The Property Would Go Back To Her.

As Jumman Was Angry At Algu For The Decision, They Were Never Seen Together. Their Friendship Was Broken And /Umman Decided To Take Revenge From Algu

Part 3

Misfortune Falls On Algu

After Some Time, Algu Faced Some Bad Luck. One Of His Pair Of Bullocks Died And He Sold The Other To Samjhu Sahu Who Was A Cart Driver Of The Village. Sahu Was Supposed To Pay The Price Of The Bullock In A Rnonth’s Time.

Unfortunately, The Bullock Died Within A Month. When Algu Asked Sahu For His Money, Sahu Refused To Pay Saying That The Beast Had Destroyed Sahu’s Income. He Told Algu To Use One Of His Bullocks For A Month And Then Return It. Algu Decided To Take His Case To The Panchayat.

Panchayat Judges Alga’s Case

Now Again, The Panchayat Was Called. Both Algu And Sahu Started Talking To People To Gain Their Support. The Second Panchayat Was Held Under The Old Banyan Tree. Algu Asked Sahu To Choose A Head Panch And Promised To Follow His Decision. Sahu Chose |Umman As The Head Panch.

This Worried Algu A Lot. But When |Umman Became The Head Panch, He Understood His Responsibility And The Importance Of Fairness. He thought about getting his revenge on Algu but soon realized that he could not allow his personal Feelings to influence justice.

Panchayat’s Judgement And The Reunion Of Old Friends

Both Algu And Sahu Stated Their Cases. They Were Asked Questions And Soon, The Panchayat Arrived At A Decision. Jumman Announced That Since The Bullock Was Healthy At The Tirne Of The Sale, Sahu Would Have To Pay Algu The Full Price Of The Bullock.

Algu Was Very Happy with This Decision And shouted Praise Of The Holy Panchayat. After The Panchayat, Algu and Umman Hugged Each Other.

Iumman Told Algu That Because Of Algu’s Decision, They Had Become Enemies. However, Today He Realised That Justice Was Above friendship or Hatred. As They Cried Together In Happiness All Of Their Misunderstandings Were Cleared.
