The Wild Dog Decides to find a Master
In the early days, Dogs used to live freely like wolves. But then a Dog was born that was not happy with his life. He did not like searching for food and protecting himself from strong creatures all alone.
So, he decided to serve a master that was the strongest on the Earth. He set out to find himself a master. Soon, he met a relative of his species- the strong and violent Wolf.
The Dog Decided to Serve the Wolf
When the Wolf asked the Dog about where he was going, the Dog told the Wolf that he was looking to serve a master. He, then, asked if the Wolf would like to become his master.
The Wolf accepted his offer. While they were walking together in the forest, the Wolfsmelled something. He quickly ran away from the path and hid in the forest.
When the Dog asked him the reason, the Wolf replied that there was a Bear nearby that would eat up both of them.
The Dog realized that the Bear was stronger than the Wolf. So, the Dog left the Wolf to make the Bear his master
The Dog Decided to Serve the Bear
The Dog went to the Bear and asked him to be his new master. The Bear accepted the offer readily and told the Dog that they should find a herd of cows to kill and eat them.
They found a herd, but the cows started running in all directions and mooing loudly. The Bear looked out from behind a tree and then, quickly ran deep into the forest to hide.
He told the Dog that the Lion ruled those parts ofthe forest. The Dog was surprised when the Bear told him that the Lion was the strongest beast on the Earth.
So, the Dog left the Bear to make the Lion his master.
The Dog Decided to Serve the Lion
When the Dog asked the Lion to be his master, the Lion accepted and the Dog began serving him. The Dog served the Lion for a long time.
He was happy to be with the Lion as he did not have anything to complain about. No one would dare to touch the Dog or offend him as he worked for the strongest beast on the Earth.
One day, the Dog and the Lion were walking together when all of a sudden, the Lion stopped. Then, he roared and struck the ground so angrily with his paw that a hole formed there.
The Final Master
When the Lion began backing away quietly in fear, the Dog asked what was wrong. The Lion replied that he could smell a man coming their way.
Lion wanted to run away to avoid trouble. Then, the Dog realized that man is the strongest of all creatures on Earth. So, the Dog left the Lion and began serving the man faithfully. Till today, Dogs are mankind’s most loyal servants.
