Answer: Sunday, 21st June, 20XX Dear Diary I had a superb day today! I was a little unwilling to attend the yoga session but my mother insisted that we should go so I just went along with her. There were around 100 people and 5 yoga instructors gathered in the yoga area in JNL Stadium.
Yoga mats were also arranged properly. We started with breathing exercises and then went on to do body movements and meditation slowly and steadily. The instructors were very gentle people and guided everyone patiently. I felt so light and my mood became so much better. I’m glad that I decided to go.
Question 2. One of your best friends took you to a restaurant for a treat. You saw there a child of your age sadly engaged in scrubbing utensils in the cold water in winter. You were upset and felt sad for the child. Write a diary entry expressing your grief.
Answer:
Thursday, 19th March, 20XX
Dear Diary
Can the elders be so cruel to a child of 12-13 years to force him to wash utensils with cold tap water in winter? Alas! I saw it today. When I went with a friend to a restaurant, the poor child was scrubbing and washing utensils at the entrance. For a moment, we did not feel like going in and eating. This was the saddest view of child labor. One wonders when our authorities and system would implement the laws against child labor and send the kids of poor parents to school to learn and enjoy the golden period of life.

Question 3. You have travelled by train many times but the journey that you made today ended horribly. Imagining the thing that went wrong in your train journey, write a diary entry.
Answer:
24th April, 20XX, Friday
Dear Diary
Life is so unpredictable. I was in high spirits when I boarded the Rajdhani Express from Bhopal to Delhi.
After all, I had traveled by train many times and always looked forward to train journeys. I expected the same this time as I found my seat in the compartment. It was quite comfortable and near the window.
The journey was nice and so were my co-passengers. I had a nice sleep. But when I got up in the morning, the train was near Delhi. I got up to wear my shoes. They were not there. I looked for them under the seats but they were missing.
My bag was missing too. Certainly, they were stolen. All my documents and cash were in the bag. I did not know what to do. It was a horrible feeling to be helpless. However, as I got off the train, I saw a man running away with my shoes and bag.
I screamed and some people ran after him but could not catch him. I started crying and had to call my father to tell him about the stolen things. I got a scolding and decided to never travel by train again.

Answer: 16th June, 20XX, Thursday
Dear Diary
A visit to the Indian International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan has always been a rewarding experience for me. It was the same this year too. I went to this year’s trade fair with my parents. It was a different world over there.
To be precise, it was a fairyland. The sections of Germany, Canada, the USA, China, and Great Britain attracted a large crowd. However, China dominated the show. India was represented by almost all states and establishments like the Indian Railways, Indian Tourism, LIC, Tatas, and whatnot.
The ‘Food Courts’ served all tastes from Pizzas to Choley Bhaturey. We bought pairs of shoes, mobiles, and garments. The fair provided opportunities for a lot of fun and entertainment but it was quite expensive. Film shows, folk dances, and puppet shows drew huge crowds. Anyway, it was a very pleasant and rewarding experience.

Question 5. Write a diary entry entailing a short account of how you played a prank on your mother.
Answer:
1st, April 2023, Saturday
Dear Diary
I had a lot of fun pulling a prank on my mom today. My mom was boiling milk in the evening. While it was boiling, she went to the bedroom to fold some clothes for a few minutes. When the milk was ready, I poured it into a container, placed it in the refrigerator, and put the pan on the rack.
When Mom arrived a short while later she noticed the burner was empty. She was puzzled. She then started to boil a second pack of milk. This time she went to attend a telephone call when I played my trick again on her.
After returning to the kitchen, she discovered that the milk was again missing. This time she yelled in horror. She believed that the house was haunted. I yelled ‘pranked you’ and laughed so hard. I told Dad the story when he got home. Even he laughed heartily. I’ll be writing soon again. Now is the time for me to go to bed.
