Location Of Sciatic Nerve And Pressure Points In It

Sciatic Nerve

This problem is not understood properly by most of the practitioners. When a patient complains about pain in the lower part of the back, i.e. lower lumbar pain from the waist to toes or pain in the knees, generally the patient is told that it is Arthritis.

  • Sometimes in a female patient of advanced age of 50 years, it is diagnosed as Osteoarthritis and the patient is given painkillers and Oestrogen, which have severe side-effects.
  • But when not cured, the patient is advised to get an X-ray done of the spinal cord. In cases of a little advanced stage where there is swelling around the damaged vertebra, it is labelled as a slipped disc and the patient is asked to undergo an operation.
  • In X-rays, the damage to the sciatic nerve is not found, because it is not a bone but it is a nerve extending from the pelvis down the back of the thigh to the toes.
  • Only when an M.R.I. (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) the test is done, such damage to the sciatic nerve is located.

It is a costly examination and even in advanced and rich countries, people do not go for M.R.I. tests – because such expenses are not covered under the Insurance scheme.

  • Moreover, the costly machines doing M.R.I. are available only in a few hospitals in big cities. Consequently, the patient has to remain dependent on the painkillers.
  • But long-term use of such painkillers leads to acidity and ulcers and life becomes miserable. And so under misery and pain, the patient goes for unnecessary operation. And in turn, he/she becomes a lifelong patient as some vital nerves are operated on.
  • So in all such cases, or when the patient has trouble in walking or climbing up the stairs or in squatting or getting up from the ground.
  • Just check up the line leading to the back of the palm, the right palm in the case of the problem on the right side or the left palm if the problem is on the left side.

If the pain, when pressed, is at the beginning of that line, it is an indication of Spondylitis. But when such pain is located it is an indication of sciatica.

  • An unbearable pain in the sciatic nerve or pain which is felt down the back and outer side of the thigh, leg and foot. In such cases, press on the point of the Sciatic Nerve on the legs.
  • And any pain, when pressed, clearly indicates damage to the Sciatic Nerve. Within a minute, you will be able to locate the problem, and give treatment.
  • Only in one sitting, the patient will feel about 40% relief from the pain. And in two or three sittings, the problem will be cured.
  • In case this problem is chronic, which has been brought on by an awkward lifting or twisting movement or where the back is stiff and painful, it is possible that after the first sitting, the pain in the nerves or joints may increase.
  • But when the treatment is continued, then after the second sitting, the patient gets good relief. And in a maximum of 4 sittings, he gets total relief and is happy.

Case Studies Of Sciatic Nerve:

1. A patient came to me complaining of severe pain in the back and who had great trouble walking due to numbness and weakness in the legs.

  • On the basis of X-ray, he had been advised operation. Actually, the damage was to the Sciatic Nerve.
  • Within 3 sittings, the patient’s weakness had gone. His pain also subsided and he could easily walk.

2. A patient had a car accident. His back was crushed. He could not even sit. He was told that the damage was very severe and operation was not possible.

  • He would have to remain lying in the bed right through his life. He was brought to our Centre on a stretcher. There was severe damage to the Sciatic Nerve.
  • A sitting was given. His brothers were taught about giving this treatment at home. They daily gave this treatment for 25 days and on the 30th day, the patient walked to the bank, where he was working as a manager.

3. A very peculiar case came to me. The patient had a twist from the waist on the right side. He was neither able to sleep on a single bed nor sit on a chair.

  • He was rich and so went around the world for a cure. At last, he came to our free Centre. The damage was located in the Sciatic Nerve.
  • Treatment was given and in one sitting, he felt relief. In another 6 sittings, his waist straightened and he became straight-normal.

Arthritis-Rheumatism Of Sciatic Nerve:

  • In the case of Arthritis or Rheumatism, there is pain. At that time, just check the heart.
  • If that point is paining or hurting, it is a case of Rheumatoid Arthritis. Therefore, the patient should be given treatment for both Heart and Arthritis.

Paralysis Of Sciatic Nerve:

  • In such cases, where there is a total or partial loss of the power of muscular contraction or of sensation in the right or left side of the body, you will observe pain. Also, press on the base of the middle toe. There may be severe pain.
  • With proper treatment as mentioned in my book “Health in Your Hands”, such paralytic patients, whose muscle weakness varies in its extent, severity and degree, recover totally in 30/40 days.
