Sample Passages
Passage -1
Read the following passage and answer the questions that follow.
The Ganges is a 2525 km long river that originates in the western Himalayas in India’s Uttarakhand state and flows South and East through the Gangetic plain of North India to Bangladesh. It ends in the Bay of Bengal.
There are many rivers in India but the Ganges is the most sacred river for the Hindus. Every year, the Hindus celebrate the descent of the Ganges from heaven to the Earth. They celebrate it as Ganga Dussehra. A dip in the Ganges on this day is said to rid the person of ten sins.
It is also important historically, with many former provinces and capitals (such as Pataliputra, Kannauj, Kara, Kashi, Allahabad, Murshidabad, Munger, Baharampur, Kampilya and Kolkata) located on its banks.
The Ganges was ranked as the fifth most polluted river in the world in 2007. Pollution threatens not only humans but also over 140 fish species and the endangered Ganges river dolphin.
Many environmental initiatives were taken up by the Central and State Governments to clean it up. However, they failed due to a lack of technical expertise, poor environmental planning, and a lack of support from religious authorities.
The river suffers from extreme pollution levels, which affect the 400 million people who live close to the river.
Sewage from many cities along the river’s course, industrial waste, and religious offerings wrapped in non-degradable plastics add large amounts of pollutants to the river as it flows through densely populated areas.
The river water is neither fit for drinking nor for taking a bath. It is said that 80% of all illnesses in India and one-third of deaths can be attributed to water-borne diseases. The polluted water can also cause allergies and skin problems.

Subjective Type Questions
Passage 1
Read the following passage and answer the questions that follow.
ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence program that generates dialogue. Created by Open Al, this highly-capable chatbot uses machine learning algorithms to process and analyze large amounts of data to generate responses to user inquiries. This language processing program can understand human language as it is spoken and written, allowing it to understand ChatGPT spits back out an easily understandable answer in a variety of formats with precise stipulations.
For example, you can ask the question, “Explain how climate change affects endangered species.” You can tell it, “Write me a poem”, and when it does, say, “Now make it more exciting.”
One of the key features of ChatGPT is its ability to generate responses like humans in real time. It can give natural answers to questions in a conversational tone and can generate stories, essays, and poems. Moreover, ChatGPT can: answer questions, solve math equations, translate between languages, debug and fix code, write a story/poem, and classify things.
Perhaps more amazing is the ease at which ChatGPT produces these responses. Students could potentially spend hours researching and drafting an essay on quantum mechanics, whereas ChatGPT can produce a well-written alternative in seconds. There are some limitations of ChatGPT. Due to its infancy, the chatbot may generate incorrect information or have a limited understanding of a topic because answers are based on data that is limited to 2020 and prior.
Subjective Type Questions Answer The Following Questions
Question 1. What kind of program is ChatGPT?
